David Rodriguez

Founder of Rodriguez Consulting & Financial , David has had many career passions in his life that he has attained over the past 50 years coming out of high school…. interest in architecture …in high school football coaching….. in being a teacher….in being a mentor / public speaker …and finally…becoming a “business man“.

The one interest he did not have for the first 30 years if his life was a true understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ. Something that he has been catching up with … the last 38 years of his life.

His interest in architecture and the built environment culminated as vice president / director of sustainability for Ware Architecture Studio …providing consulting on high performance sustainable design/high performance energy reduction in addition to a residential design consulting practice and other services. As a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) , he had the privilege of working on various sustainable “ green “ projects such as Klyde Warren Park in Dallas; UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth; Watters Creek mixed use development in Allen, Texas; Blue Cross Blue Shield new corporate headquarters in Richardson, Texas; the conversion of former Radio Shack World Headquarters into classrooms for the new Trinity River Campus of Tarrant County College in Fort Worth; and the Dallas Center for Architecture that housed the former AIA Dallas chapter offices on Woodall Rogers Freeway. He continues to provide sustainable consulting in addition residential planning with an emphasis on the “ Not So Big House “ philosophy.

He has been actively involved in a variety of organizations such as the Dallas American Institute of Architects in various committees , Urban Land Institute North Texas – Building Healthy Places Task Force ; AIA / TEXO Joint Leadership Committee ; Collaborative Facilitator for the North Texas Collaborative of the Living Building Challenge, Chairman Emeritus of the North Texas US Green Building Council ( USGBC ) Chapter and as Program Chairman for the three annual USGBC – North Texas Water Symposiums entitled “ The Business of Water “

David and his “bride“ Patti, a registered nurse, both attend Reunion Church…a non-denominational multi-cultural Christian church he has attend the last 19 years. They married almost four years ago…David having been single 21 years prior to that. Between them…they have 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Both attended the University of Texas at Austin…David most recently having served as president of the Dallas Chapter of their university alumni association.

At Reunion Church…David leads a bible study….and is involved in one on one discipling of men who have ask to be discipled to a stronger relationship..and better understanding the love Jesus Christ has for us and the eternal salvation that comes from belief in him as our Lord and Savior.

He is also privileged to be the ENGAGE monthly prayer ministry coordinator for DREM…..that meets corporately to pray over the many prayer request it receives . A volunteer position he has had for the past 9 years and where he has grown in faith, trust and love in the many wonderful friendships made from the people who attend DREM Prayer.
