As President and CEO of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, Robbie Briggs leads more than 450 real estate professionals serving cities and neighborhoods from nine offices throughout North Texas.
For almost 40 years, Briggs has been at the center of the area’s dynamic real estate industry, blending extensive neighborhood expertise with innovative, global marketing and a deep commitment to integrity and strongly held personal values.
In 2010, he led the Briggs-Freeman brokerage to its affiliation with the renowned Sotheby’s International Realty. After just four years the brokerage was ranked #5 out of more than 800 Sotheby’s International Realty offices worldwide. In 2016 the company brokered the historic sale of the W.T. Waggoner Ranch, offered for $735,000,000 and touted as the largest listing in the history of Sotheby’s International Realty affiliates.
Briggs maintains an ongoing commitment to bringing national and international investment to North Texas and travels frequently throughout the U.S., Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Known as a thought leader and industry expert, his insights appear in a weekly column in the Mansion section of The Wall Street Journal. He currently serves on the boards of the Dallas Regional Chamber, Fort Worth Chamber, The Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, YTexas and the Advisory Board of BBVA Compass Bank. Raised in Dallas, Texas, Briggs holds a Masters Degree of Architecture from Tulane University. He and his wife, Nancy, raised their five children who now live in Portland, Oregon, New York City, Austin, Dallas and Xiamen, China.
