Vicky Gunning

Vicky Gunning Personal Testimony - June 22, 2022

Vicky Gunning is a Partner at the law firm of Locke Lord LLP where she has spent her entire career. Locke Lord treasures its people and Vicky was recently promoted to what she considers her dream job as the Director of Employee and Alumni Engagement, a newly-formed innovative position focusing on culture, women, and alumni, for Locke Lord’s 20 offices. She formerly headed the Dallas office of Locke Lord as Office Managing Partner (and continues to serve currently as Deputy Managing Partner) and as Department Co-Chair for the firm-wide finance, banking and real estate department.

Vicky served joyfully on the CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Network Global Board in 2016 ‎and 2017 and as Global Chair of the CREW Network Foundation in 2020 and has been honored with CREW Dallas’ highest award, the Outstanding ‎Achievement Award. She was recognized by GlobeSt. as a Women of Influence: Commercial Real Estate Legal Counsel in 2021, received Connect Commercial Real Estate’s 2021 Lawyers in Real Estate Award, and has been named to The Best Lawyers in America®, Real Estate Law (2020-2022). Vicky is actively involved in numerous good causes including currently serving on national boards as Chair of the Board of Christians in Public Service and ‎on the Boards of 4Word Christian Women and Teach the Story ministries.

Vicky serves her church in Flower Mound as the Senior Lay Leader and on the prayer team and property team. She has been married 35 years ‎to Michael, has a 19 year old son Ryan, and enjoys reading good books while overlooking the ocean, long conversations with friends, the outdoors, and traveling.‎


James Armstrong

James Armstrong Personal Testimony - May 25, 2022

James Armstrong III is the President & CEO of Builders of Hope Development Corporation, a leading community development corporations that serves Dallas’ urban neighborhoods and focuses on creating economic mobility through real estate. He has served as a certified Urban Community Development expert since 2010 with expertise and experience in Non-Profit management, marketing, business development, and finance James. Additional experience includes over 10 years in the Banking industry with added knowledge of complex lending and financing. Within these years he has worked for some of the top Fortune 500 companies like J. P. Morgan Chase and New York Life Securities and Investments. His career experience was heavily used in his role as the Mayor Mike Rawlings appointee to The City of Dallas’ Housing Finance Corporation as a city wide representative. James serves on numerous community development driven boards such as, the Texas Association of Community Development Association, BcWorkshop, and the Trinity Park conservancy community development corporation. He is also a member of the advisory committee of the SMU’s West Dallas STEM School. James is a proud graduate of Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and has completed post-graduate studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. In 2017 James was award the Dallas Business Journal 40 under 40 award for his accomplishments in business. James’ greatest role is serving as Pastor of The Community Fellowship Church in West Dallas.


Clint Kelly

Clint Kelly Personal Testimony - April 27, 2022

Originally from Grapevine, Clint now lives in Dallas and works as Senior Sales Executive for AED123. He is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those around him, which is why he works to equip cities and businesses with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), helping protect against Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Raised in a Christian home, Clint was exposed to the love of Jesus at a very early age. Clint played football at Baylor University while getting his degree in Supply Chain Management. He enjoys making trips back to Waco to watch his Baylor Bears as well as visit his family, which has recently uprooted and moved to Waco. Clint is excited for what the Lord is doing in his life today and what He has in store for his future”


Bodie Spangler

Bodie Spangler Personal Testimony - March 23, 2022

Bodie Spangler grew in up Marshall, Texas. After graduating from The McCallie School, a college preparatory school in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he attended the University of North Carolina for one year, during which he received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. After graduating from Annapolis with the Class of 1990, Bodie was commissioned as a Naval Officer and assigned to the USS Boone out of Mayport, Florida. During his three years on board Boone, he deployed to the North Red Sea twice to conduct boarding operations in support of the UN sanctions against Iraq in the aftermath of Operation Desert Storm. In 1994, after his service commitment was up, Bodie moved to Dallas, Texas where he now lives with his wife, Laura, and their three sons, Jack (sophomore at Samford), Ben (Freshman at UT), and Mark (junior at The Covenant School). Bodie is a Senior Territory Manager with Safeco Insurance. He served on the Board of Trustees at The Covenant School in Dallas from 2009-2019, and he currently serves on the board of Abiding Fathers. Over the last several years, Bodie has written three books. The common thread woven through the first two books was the idea of a “constant conversation” between fathers and their children while the most recent book (Our Constant Conversation) addresses the discussion between salespeople and their customers. During his talk with us, he will explain how God turned the most difficult event in his life into a great blessing and how his relationship with his father has impacted the rest of his life.


Larry Luby

Larry Luby Personal Testimony - February 23, 2022

Larry Luby was born and raised in Dallas. He earned a BBA in finance from Texas A&M University and is certified in Christian leadership through Every Nation Leadership Institute. He is an ordained minister and has led international mission trips to Africa, South America, and Cuba. He worked in the family restaurant business before joining TGI Fridays where he managed two restaurant concepts in four states. After starting a family, he founded Accent, Inc. a manufacturer of signs and awnings primarily catering to the restaurant industry. Later he opened an executive recruiting company serving the foodservice and healthcare industries. He has written several books and what started as a hobby became a passion and he founded, HIS Publishing Group, working with authors to fulfill their dream from book concept through design and publication. When he is not writing, he provides life skill and spiritual enrichment training to young men at the Dallas Reggie McNeil Detention Center. His loving wife Judy is the joy of his life along with his two sons, daughter in-law and two granddaughters.
